My entry for the 50th anniversary of Pink Floyd's 1973 album 'Dark Side Of The Moon'
For the 50th anniversary of Dark Side of the Moon, I created a music video for Speak to Me, the intro track that introduces the album’s themes through a collage of sound snippets—heartbeats, coins, the moon, and more. I wanted to reflect the psychedelic rock vibe of the album, combining abstract visuals with the track's fragmented structure.
The video plays with the track’s sonic collage by using vibrant, surreal imagery—swirling patterns, glowing moons, and symbolic elements like coins and hearts—each representing the fleeting, existential themes of the album. I embraced the psychedelic aesthetic with bold colors, fluid motion, and fractal designs, reflecting the disorienting yet mesmerizing experience of Pink Floyd’s sound.
By merging psychedelic visual techniques with the symbolic snippets from the track, I aimed to create a video that captures the surreal, thought-provoking energy of Dark Side of the Moon—both timeless and modern, abstract yet deeply connected to the album’s core themes.
